Brigante scores at Haydock Gordon Elliott's raider Carlito Brigante won the Betfair iPhone & Android App Hurdle at Haydock. The race was seen as a chance for Clerk's Choice to justify his official rating of 162 but having travelled kindly to the home turn, he flattened out and was never a factor. Jason Maguire sent the 11-4 winner past the trailblazing Ultimate going to the final flight and he soon put the race to bed. 66-1 outsider Bocamix finished strongly to claim the forecast spot but he was two lengths adrift at the line. "He's improved a lot from last year, but he's hard to get fit and Jason (Maguire) said he had a blow today," said the winning trainer. "He ran on the Flat at Dundalk and he needed that. It was great it worked out today. "We'll have to see what happens, but we could campaign him over here a bit for some decent ground. "He could run at Leopardstown over Christmas as well or perhaps he might go to Kempton."
