Browne-Souza rides second career winner on Just Before Young apprentice Adam Browne-Souza rode the second winner of his fledgling career when partnering Just Before to land the Start Your Racing TV Free Trial Now Handicap at Dundalk. Unraced for Andre Fabre in France, the well-bred daughter of Justify had won her maiden at Leopardstown as a two-year-old. Having proved somewhat disappointing since returning to action at this track in February, the Willie Browne trained filly ran one of her better races when beaten less than a length last time. Fitted with first-time blinkers here, Just Before chased leader Flynn Ryder before coming through to lead entering the home straight. Travelling strongly under her young rider, the 7/2f went a couple of lengths clear over a furlong out. However, possibly just getting a bit lonely in front, she began to idle, eventually just doing enough to hold Senti Qua by half-a-length. Adam Browne-Souza said: "It's unbelievable (to ride a winner for his grandfather) and I'm very grateful to him for the ride. It is great to ride it in those silks. "She's a lovely filly, and it is her first time with blinkers and they made a big difference. They woke her up and she always travelled well in the race." Additional reporting by Michael Graham.
