Ger Lyons and Colin Keane are enjoying a very successful season and could team up to land the featured Ballycorus Stakes with Cappella Sansevero at Leopardstown on Thursday evening.

The son of Showcasing was snapped up by Sheikh Fahad for £1.3 million at the Goffs London Sale 12 months ago just prior to finishing runner-up to The Wow Signal in the Coventry Stakes.

He remained in Lyons' care and subsequently scored at Group Three level in the Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh but has enjoyed no luck in running this term in both the Qipco 2000 Guineas and the German equivalent at Cologne.

This certainly represents a drop in class and the seven-furlong trip could well turn out to be his optimum distance.

A number of this seven-runner field are tightly grouped together on official ratings, and Dandy Nicholls sends over Sovereign Debt who finished a shade weakly last time in the Gladness Stakes at the Curragh.

Tested seems adaptable ground wise winning four of her six starts to date, and Leigh Roche is given the opportunity on the Dermot Weld-trained filly with Pat Smullen on duty at Royal Ascot.

Lyons and Keane also have bright prospects in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden with Mint Chai.

The Roderic O'Connor juvenile has filled the runner-up spot on all three outings, and his latest effort when going down by a neck to Miss Elizabeth at Fairyhouse has been well advertised since.

Cape Wolfe also carries the familiar colours of Sean Jones and is another to consider for the Lyons/Keane alliance in the Leopardstown Summer Music And Racing Festiva Handicap.

The top-weight showed he is well up to carrying a welter burden when beating subsequent winner Ishebayorgrey at Dundalk last month.

Selskar Abbey caught the eye here last week when staying on nicely in the straight having been badly hampered early on, and could well gain compensation over the same extended 10 furlongs in the Leopardstown Club Members Handicap.
