Carberry Continues A Great Day For Family

Nina Carberry - whose brother Paul won the opening two heats - earned many plaudits when landing the EUR75,000 Tote Ireland 75th Anniversary Handicap Hurdle aboard Mansony, trained by her uncle Arthur Moore.

'He travelled like a real good horse the whole way round, liked the ground and jumped like a cat, never losing any ground,' said Carberry.

Nicky Henderson landed the first British success of the 2005 Festival when Its A Dream ran out of a facile winner of the Goffs Land Rover Bumper under amateur Aidan Fitzgerald.

'The first time I ever met Aidan was when he won on Royal Rosa here for me two years ago,' said Henderson. 'When you come over here, you must have a good man on board.

'This race had always been the plan, he´s a Land Rover Sale horse, and he´s won really well and is a good horse. I deliberately didn´t run him again after winning because I didn´t want him to pick up a second penalty but then we come here to find he´s the only one carrying a penalty anyway.'

J P McManus´s colours were carried to victory by The Boys In Green when Christy Roche´s charge justified 4/1 favouritism to come home half a length clear in the Mountbrook Homes Handicap Chase while the Willie Mullins-trained debutant Nay landed the concluding Murphy International Flat Race.
