Carberry 'evens' for Irish Jockeys Championship

Jockey Paul Carberry has, for the first time since rival Ruby Walsh was injured, touched even-money to win the Irish Jockeys Championship.

Carberry had been installed an odds-on chance following news of Walsh's injury but bookmakers William Hill recently pushed out the two-time Champion to 1/1 favourite.

Carberry trails Championship leader Andrew McNamara (currently best priced at 6/1 with Boylesports) by two winners (46-44). Davy Russell (best priced at11/4 with Bet365 and Barry Geraghty (16/1 generally and set to be busy riding in Britain) currently share third spot on 36 winners.
