CASEY OUT OF ACTION WITH BROKEN HAND

David Casey is on the sidelines after cracking a bone in his hand following a fall at Kilbeggan on Friday evening.

The incident occurred five out in the handicap hurdle when the Patrick Kinsella-trained Lord Scar fell and Casey was kicked by a number of horses behind. The damage was confirmed following x-rays but Casey said, ´It could have been a lot worse but I´m not sure how long I´ll be out. I broke two bones in a similar place last year and was out for a fortnight, but this doesn´t look as bad.´

The Waterford-born rider had to give up his four booked mounts at Cork today.
