Celeron is on the easy list after jarring a leg when unplaced in the Group One Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh this month.

Michael O'Callaghan's charge went into that top-level assignment as 6/4 second favourite, behind the winner and 5/4 favourite Sun Goddess, on the back of an emphatic victory in a Group 2 at the same track last month.

The trainer said: "He came out of it okay.

“The vets were going through him all week. We found that he jarred his right hind leg, sprained his hock, and he had a bit going on in his right hind fetlock as well.

“No major damage, more so that he just jarred his right hind leg - whether it was coming out of the gates, or mid-way through the race.

“We were glad to have found something and also glad that it’s not too serious.

“We’ll feel our way back with him now, we’ll give him a little bit of time. We’ve no plans for him at the moment.”
