Centauri on target for Moyglare Alpha Centauri is on course to return to action in the Moyglare Stud Stakes on Irish Champions Weekend at the Curragh on September 10. This Group One over a mile has been the target since the Jessica Harrington-trained daughter of Mastercraftsman finished a neck second to Different League in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, after winning her first two starts. Harrington's charge is a general 16-1 chance for the Qipco 1000 Guineas. "She's on target for the Moyglare. It was always the idea to give her a break after Ascot and so she should be nice and fresh for the Moyglare, all being well," said Alan Cooper, racing manager to owners the Niarchos family.
