Certify claims Fillies' Mile Certify cemented her position at the head of the juvenile fillies division in England with a clear-cut success in the Shadwell Fillies' Mile at Newmarket. The 4-6 favourite was anchored in the rear of the field in the early stages of the Group One contest before making her challenge against the fair fail two furlongs out. Despite a muddling early pace, Mickael Barzalona's partner showed a smart turn of foot to quicken clear of her rivals and the race was immediately over. At the line she had four-and-a-half lengths in hand of runner-up Roz (8-1). Paddy Power and Sky Bet were impressed with the display and both firms cut the winner into 8-1 (from 14/1 and 10/1 respectively) for the QIPCO 1000 Guineas. Coral were even more taken and halved her price to 6/1. Mahmood Al Zarooni said: "She was excited before the race which is not normal. She's run four times now and that's enough for her this season. "I have to sit with Simon (Crisford) and his highness (to discuss the Breeders' Cup) but I think that will be it for the year. She's a lady and we have to look after her. "At Doncaster she showed she was a little bit green. Today also, as she was in front a long time. The faster pace they go the better, she was a bit keen. "Lyric Of Light won this race last year, but the way she won today I think she won better than Lyric Of Light. She won four lengths and Lyric Of Light won by just a head."
