Champagne Stakes next up for Exogenesis Exogenesis will be aimed at the At The Races Champagne Stakes at Doncaster's St Leger meeting after his fine run at the Curragh on Saturday. The Dark Angel gelding finished third behind War Command and Mustajeeb in the Futurity Stakes and while his winning run came to an end, trainer Ger Lyons still felt it represented a career-best effort. It also opened up a new avenue to Lyons who now feels he would have no trouble in staying a mile. "He ran an absolute cracker and I was delighted with him," said Lyons. "He just hit a flat spot a furlong out and but for that I think he would have been second. "I know Dermot Weld thinks an awful lot of his horse (Mustajeeb) so if I think we should have beaten him I've got to be happy. "He'll go to Doncaster now for the Champagne Stakes and the way he ran to the line suggests he'll have no trouble with a mile, which I had my doubts about beforehand."
