Channon Has Curragh Aspiration

Joint Aspiration, who broke a blood vessel in the UltimatePoker.com 1000 Guineas, looks set to be aimed at the Irish equivalent at the Curragh on May 22.

Mick Channon´s filly was travelling particularly well before her problems took over in the Newmarket Classic won by Virginia Waters.

The daughter of Pivotal has been on the easy list ever since that race and connections are now eyeing the Boylesports-sponsored version on Sunday week.

'When we tested her with tracheal washes and took blood tests from her there was no sign of a virus and I can´t believe she´s a bleeder as it´s never happened before,' said Channon.

'There was absolutely no sign of anything before Newmarket and hopefully we can go to Ireland with a chance.'

Joint Aspiration had previously finished runner-up to the eventual Guineas third Vista Bella at Kempton and was sent off a 50-1 chance at Newmarket when coming home 13th.
