Chases called off at Navan

The final three races over fences at Navan this afternoon have been cancelled.

The chase course still has frozen patches and is unfit for racing.

A delegation of trainers and riders accompanied officials for a fourth look at the track today and the decision was taken to cancel the three chases.

Racing went ahead after a 8am inspection but the chase track was not passed.

Officials looked again at 10am and noon before finally reaching a decision at 2pm.

The 'Prancer And Dancer' Handicap Chase is set to be added to the end of tomorrow's card, making a seven-race programme.
