Trainer Harry Rogers is looking forward to the start of the Flat season as Cheval Rouge bids to go one better than last year in the Lincolnshire at the Curragh on March 23.

Runner-up to Sweet Lightning in the 2013 renewal, the seven-times winner will be back for the mile event which provides the centrepiece of the fixture.

Rogers said: "She'll go there, all going well. She ran a good race in it off about the same mark last year, and if the ground stays soft, that'll help her.

"Strandfield Lady might run in the Lincoln, too."

Despite being based in Co Louth, near the all-weather track at Dundalk, Rogers has been relatively quiet recently.

He said: "I had a good bit of success at Dundalk a few years ago, but some of them got a bit sore running on it and we're just unfortunate now that we have nothing to run there.

"Our team is more for the grass and we have 14 or 15 for that."
