Clonmel's fixture on Thursday has been cancelled, as the course remains waterlogged.

The Tipperary course was the subject of a 12pm inspection today, with parts of the course being confirmed to remain under water.

Clerk of the course Paul Moloney said: "Following our inspection here this morning — we had a further 3.5mm last night — the track remains waterlogged, so it's unfit for racing.

"Unfortunately we're going to have to cancel the meeting. We've had 52.5mm of rain since entries and there's another 4-5mm due before racing. We're in talks with HRI to try and reschedule over the next couple of weeks."

Grade 3 Contest Finds New Home

The Grade 3 Surehaul Mercedes-Benz Novice Hurdle, which was due to be held at this meeting, will now take place at Gowran Park this Saturday, February 14 and the distance of the race is now 2 miles and 7 furlongs (formerly 3 miles).

This race reverts to entries at weights stage with fresh declarations to run to be made by 10am tomorrow (Thursday, February 12). Gowran Park now becomes an eight-race card on Saturday with the first race due off at 12.45pm.
