Clonmel goes ahead on heavy ground

Racing at Clonmel goes ahead today after the track passed an early morning inspection.

Following a further 2.5mm of rain yesterday afternoon, after the inspection was called, the ground remains heavy and the first of eight races gets under way at 12.15pm. A dry day is forecast.

Following 14mm of rain, Punchestown is soft to heavy ahead of their two-day fixture this weekend.

A further 5mm of rain is forecast overnight with an unsettled forecast thereafter.

The inside track will be used for the first circuit on Saturday only.
