Cody seals across-the-cards double through Teddy Jones Josh Williamson came in for a winning spare ride on Teddy Jones in the Pepsico (Walkers Snacks) Maiden Hurdle over two and a half miles in Down Royal. With the last two hurdles omitted due to low-lying sun, it was a very lengthy run-in from the final flight. Teddy Jones picked up the lead entering the straight and ran away from his rivals in the final furlong to score by seven and a half lengths at 7/1. The places were occupied by Seamy Appletart (9/1) and Wackestone (7/4jf) in second and third respectively. Williamson said: "My agent, Garry Cribbin, texted me last night (about the ride), so big thanks to him and to Ray (Cody, trainer) for getting me on him. "It was a very messy race the whole way around. I was lucky I was down the inner, I didn't have too much annoying me but we were going quick and then we were steadying up, but this lad handled it well. "I believe he was quite inexperienced coming here, but he was very professional. "I was in front a mile too soon, but the race kind of fell apart in front of me, so I was just trying to keep the bit up in his mouth. He was good and honest to the line. "I've only ridden once (for Cody) - Watch The Weather was third in Galway in a handicap chase." This gave Cody an across-the-cards double as Game Point (4/11f) was the facile winner of the opener in Wexford.
