Colgan appeals Naas ban Robbie Colgan, who has been reminding everyone of his talents with a couple of big-priced winners recently, has appealed the 4-day suspension imposed by the stewards at Naas last Sunday for misuse of the whip. Colgan was sanctioned on that occasion for excessive frequency after finishing third on Futuramic in the Woodlands 100 Club Leinster National Handicap Chase. Earlier on the card he'd smoothly guided home Caolaneoin for a shock 20/1 success, whilst the week before he was similarly assured in getting veteran Chestnut Charlie to the number one spot for the first time since 2008 when registering a 16/1 Navan win.
