Collins' stars reappear Trainer Tracey Collins’ is looking forward to running two of her stable stars at the Curragh tomorrow, with star two year old of 2009 Arctic making his reappearance in the Group 3 Greenlands Stakes and Italian Group 1 winner Aoife Alainn making her Irish debut in the Group 3 Tri Equestrian Stakes. The Curragh trainer today said “Arctic seems well and while we weren’t too happy with his last run in France last November, his previous run when fifth in the Prix De l’Abbaye was a good effort.” “The Curragh is a good place to start him off - he holds a lot of entries all over Europe for the rest of the year so its nice to start him off close to home. ” “Aoife Alainn runs in the Group 3 Tri Equestrian Stakes - she was also in the Tattersalls Gold Cup but we decided to go for this race instead.” “She is an interesting filly who came to us at the end of last year from Italy and we are very fortunate to have her. She’s a proper mare and we’re hoping she’ll progress and continue to go forward as the season goes on.” “Saturday’s race is no ‘walk in the park’ by any stretch of the imagination and there are some very smart fillies in the race. The Pretty Polly Stakes at The Curragh on Derby weekend will be her target for later in the year.” Thomas Weekes
