Compas Stallions will sponsor four of the eight races on the opening flat meeting at Naas on Sunday.

Founder and owner of Compas Stallions, Micheál Orlandi will also recognise breeders by rewarding the winning breeder of each of his four sponsored races with a free nomination, to the named stallions of the race.

The three handicap races and maiden race will be named after four stallions standing under the Compas Stallions banner including Cappella Sansevero, Smooth Daddy, Kuroshio and newest recruit Far Above.

Owner and founder of Compas Stallions Micheal Orlandi said: “We are delighted to be back sponsoring at Naas racecourse at the start of the 2021 flat season and in the midst of a very busy covering season. Sponsorship is pivotal, as owners are central to our wonderful sport.

"However, we also want to reward breeders, the backbone of this fantastic industry. Therefore we are providing a nomination to the winning breeder, of the named stallion race. We would like to wish the owners and all the connections, the very best of luck on Sunday."

General Manager of Naas Racecourse Eamonn McEvoy said: “Micheál deserves great credit for his approach to getting mares through the gates of Starfield Stud. We are delighted to have Compas Stallions back sponsoring at Naas and the support in sponsoring half the card is hugely appreciated.

"It is fantastic to see Micheál rewarding four winning breeders with a free nomination to a Compas Stallion. I would love nothing more than to see Micheál strike with a couple of his young stallions and the great thing about this industry of ours is that it could well happen.”

The fixture will be televised live on TG4.
