Condon hoping Indices can shine in National Ken Condon is looking forward to another crack at Group 1 company with Laws Of Indices in the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes at the Curragh on Irish Champions Weekend. The son of Power was a shock winner of the Group 2 Railway Stakes at the Kildare venue back in July. Back at HQ last time he fluffed his lines at the start before running on to finish fourth to Lucky Vega in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes. Condon is hopeful that his charge can continue to find improvement on his fifth outing and he has been pleasing in the run up to what looks sure to be another hot renewal of the seven-furlong contest. “He's a very straight-forward horse, clean winded, and physically he continues to do well,” said Condon. “Who would have thought when he won a Navan auction maiden he would have ended up where he is already. “Niall rode him this morning, he knows him well, and he's very pleased with him. “They needed to be still improving all the time at his age, if they're not they are going backwards. “I'd be very happy with where he's at, he looks a picture, and he's doing everything nicely at home. He's a solid horse. “It looks a very good race, of course, but I think he'll represent us well and give a good show. “He's never, touch wood, had any holds-ups and I think that stands to them. He hasn't had to have an easy week, or whatever, he's had a straight-forward clean run at things. “He's a hardy two-year-old and he's still improving a bit.”
