Condon sends two for Marois challenge Romanised and Success Days will both represent Ken Condon in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville on Sunday. The winner of last year's Irish 2,000 Guineas, Romanised has been in fine form this season, running well in defeat in the Lockinge at Newbury and the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot before opening his account for the campaign in last month's Minstrel Stakes at the Curragh. He could only finish fifth behind Jessica Harrington's star filly Alpha Centauri in last year's Marois, but hopes are high that he can make his presence felt when he returns to France this weekend. Success Days finished ninth 12 months ago and also returns for another go, primarily as a pacemaker for his stable companion. British hopes rest on Charlie Appleby's Line Of Duty, who has not been seen in competitive action since finishing down the field in the Investec Derby at Epsom in early June. Pascal Bary saddles the high-class Study Of Man and apparent pacemaker Vocal Music, while the only filly in the field is Francis-Henri Graffard’s Watch Me - winner of the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. Yann Barberot’s Graignes and the Carlos Laffon-Parias-trained Shaman complete the eight-strong field.
