Connections hoping High makes cut Connections of Natural High face an anxious wait to see if he makes the final field for the totesport Ebor at York. Dermot Weld's five-year-old has won three of his five career outings and was beaten into third when sent off favourite for a competitive handicap at last week's Galway Festival. A maximum field of 20 will go to post for the famous Knavesmire handicap on August 18 and Natural High is currently 50th on the list. Stan Cosgrove, racing manager for the owners Moyglare Stud, said: "I would say he'll go for it if he gets in and he has taken his Galway race well. "Dermot has been targeting York for a while and wanted to get a run into him beforehand to try to get him up in the weights a bit. "He ran well but the trip was a bit short for him and the mile and six (furlongs) of the Ebor would suit him much better. "Hopefully he'll take his chance if he makes the cut."
