Conor O'Dwyer Wexford Enquiry Race: 4 The Stewards interviewed Mr Conor O'Dwyer, trainer, in relation to a report they received from Ms Joan Taylor, Turf Club Vet. Officer, who stated that she was unable to positively identify Mr O'Dwyer's charge Cornfield Road prior to the running of this race as neither the markings or the micro chip number corresponded with the animal in question. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that this gelding had raced once before from his yard and had apparently conformed with the usual Identification and Vaccination checks on that occasion. He also stated that he had not checked the identity of the horse from the markings contained in the passport. After considering the evidence available the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Cornfield Road from this race and referred this matter to the CEO of the Turf Club for further investigation.
