Cookie One For Down Royal

One Cool Cookie is likely to bid for his first win of the campaign in the Killultagh Properties Ltd Chase at Down Royal on Saturday after making a promising comeback at Gowran Park.

Charlie Swan's gelding won three times as a novice last season, with his finest victory coming at the highest level in the Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse.

And after finishing second on his reappearance behind the talented Justified, Swan is looking forward to another good campaign with the six-year-old.

'One Cool Cookie will hopefully run at the weekend and we were very pleased with his comeback,' said the County Tipperary trainer.

'Justified was rated 10lb higher and he jumped straight for a change. When he's right he is very good and we just met him on a good day.'

Jessica Harrington has entered Knight Legend and Gazza's Girl in the Grade Three contest, while Paul Nolan's upwardly-mobile French Accordion, a full brother to Accordion Etoile, is also among the potential opposition.

Snowy Morning chased Denman home in the Royal & SunAlliance Novices' Chase at Cheltenham in March and could represent Willie Mullins.

His stablemate Alexander Taipan is also in the race but has an alternative engagement in the James Nicholson Wine Merchant Champion Chase on the same card.

'Snowy Morning and Alexander Taipan both worked well enough, so they could possibly run this weekend,' Mullins said.

'Snowy Morning had a good season last year so we'll hopefully start him off here and then see how we go.'
