Coolio has Down Royal target Romeo Coolio is set to return at Down Royal at the end of the month as Gordon Elliott readies some of his stable stars for the season ahead. The meeting’s feature race, the BetVictor Champion Chase is a possible for the four-time Grade 1 winner, while he will also be entered in the Grade 2 Racing Post Chase for second season novices. Mares Hurdle winner Wodhooh has Ascot as a target for her seasonal debut while another top-class mare, Brighterdaysahead, could return at Fairyhouse. "Romeo Coolio is good and will be entered for both races at Down Royal on October 31st,” said Elliott. "I'm not sure which race he will run in yet and we'll make up our minds closer to the time, but we do need some rain to fall, as the ground is too fast at the moment. "Wodhooh will hopefully start back in the Long Walk Hurdle (at Ascot, in December) and I imagine the plan will be to go back for the mares' hurdle again at Cheltenham, next March. "Brighterdaysahead might start back in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse and, like the other two, we are working towards the second part of the season with her as well. "I'm happy with them and they are training well."
