Cooper happy with Forpady's Fortria run

Tom Cooper believes Forpadydep lasterer showed his ability remains intact when a close third to Big Zeb and Noble Prince in the Fortria Chase on Sunday.

The nine-year-old was pulled up in the rearranged King George last season and returned to Ireland a sick horse.

He was well beaten by a horse rated 23lb his inferior on his return in October, but ran right up to his best at Navan this weekend.

"He's absolutely bouncing and he showed that he's still a very good horse," said Cooper.

"Everything went great and it was nice to see him back to something like his best again.

"I'd say he'll probably go to Leopardstown over Christmas for the Dial-A-Bet Chase next - we'll keep him over two miles."
