Jockey Bryan Cooper has forged a successful partnership with Latest Exhibition and he’s fully behind the decision to switch the Paul Nolan-trained gelding back to hurdles.

Latest Exhibition will take his chance in Sunday’s Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse and his jockey says he could be well suited by that move back to the smaller obstacles.

Cooper said: "He had a good season last year, it was just unfortunate he ran into Monkfish. He could have been a dual Grade One novice over fences as well. I think the plan is to run him in the Hatton's Grace and see where we go after that then.

"He had a little procedure I think done at the backend of the year, there was a few niggly little things.

"I don't think he really was a natural over a fence, he was a bit too careful. I schooled him over hurdles last week and he was extremely quick and slick which is what you need.

"Hopefully we have made the right decision. It's a division that is quite open this year and it could benefit him."
