Kieran Cotter is eyeing a return to Newmarket with listed winner Matilda Picotte.

The Sioux Nation filly landed the Bosra Sham Stakes at the venue last October having also been third in the Group 2 Lowther Stakes at York previously.

All her runs came over six furlongs last season and she is set to make her seasonal debut in a Guineas Trial over seven to determine which route connections go this campaign.

Cotter said:- "We'll see - we don't know whether to go up or down (in trip).

"You would probably lean towards going down, but she is going to run in the 1,000 Guineas Trial over seven and that will determine where I go.

"She has wintered super - she is herself, she is back in now swinging away. I'm looking forward to getting her going.

"She ran in the best company with credit all last year. Her last run was probably the most impressive in the Bosra Sham.

"We would love to go to the Newmarket Guineas, she has an entry there. If we think she won't stay the Guineas trip, there is a six-furlong Group-3 race the same day.

"The plan is to get back to Newmarket. Declan (McDonogh) thought the track was tailor-made for her."
