Coyle will face inquiry Conditional jockey Tony Coyle will face a Jockey Club inquiry at 11:00am tomorrow after failing to take a drugs test at Lingfield last March. Coyle was due to ride Harem Scarem for Lisa Williamson in a two-mile handicap chase on March 16th when his name was drawn out by officials carrying out a random dope test. He was due to give a sample but claimed he was unwell, forfeited the mount and left the track. It is the first time a jockey has been asked for a sample and has not provided one without a legitimate excuse. At a separate inquiry an hour later the Jockey Club will consider whether trainer Peter Bowen has committed a breach of Rule 53 concerning the sample taken from Prince De Galles by the stewards at Taunton after the gelding had finished second in the Wedding Licence Handicap Hurdle on January 30th. The committee will also decide whether to take action under Rule 180 (ii) in respect of the possible disqualification of Prince De Galles. An inquiry will also be held concerning trainer Lynda Ramsden`s failure to check the identities Philippi and Uncle Folding from the markings shown in the horses` passports as soon as they were received.
