Crawford bidding for more British success Down Royal is set to keep Irish racing fans busy tomorrow but Co Antrim based Stuart Crawford sends out the only Irish trained runners in Britain on Wednesday where he sends Best Legend and Ballycarron Lad to contest two handicap chases at Newcastle. Crawford is no stranger to racing in Scotland and the North of England and his last winner came at Ayr a fortnight ago when his Young Palm made an impressive winning debut in a bumper. Tomorrow Crawford sends his recent Catterick winner Best Legend to contest the GDBS Novices' Handicap Chase and Ballycarron Lad (last successful at Carlisle last March) to run in the digibet Handicap Chase.
