Stuart Crawford is after some of the prize money on offer at Perth when the Larne trainer is expecting a big run from Call Box in the feature race.

The eight-year-old is among the six declared for the £11,000 Orion Group Handicap Chase and Crawford said: "I'd rather the race was over hurdles as he is better treated but he is a natural chaser. He was second over hurdles at Perth three weeks ago and we were disappointed he didn't win.

"The smaller field should help him and he should come on for that last run. It was his second race back as he had been out hurt over a year."

Among the rivals for Call Box is top-weight Owen Glendower, trained by champion national hunt handler Nicky Henderson.

Mourne Paddy is another Crawford runner with a chance and he lines up in the Concerto Spring Barley Novices' Handicap Hurdle.

He added: "He's a bit quirky and and this will be his first handicap over hurdles. He likes to jump off and dictate the pace if he can - Tony McCoy said he should have made more use of him when he was third at Perth in June."

Crawford's final runner of the night is The Ice Factor in the Crabbie's Alcoholic Ginger Beer Handicap Hurdle.

He said: "He ran very well to finish second at Perth earlier this month on what was his comeback after 14 months off. We're better in at the weights with the winner Lisbon this time so we're hopeful of reversing the form."
