Crawford looks to Haydock Stuart Crawford will consider letting Fine Rightly travel to Haydock to contest Saturday's Grade Two CE Facilities Novices' Chase. A Grade Two bumper winner and also successful twice over hurdles last season, Fine Rightly has filled the runner-up spot on each of his two starts over fences so far, chasing home a couple of fair sorts in Lots Of Memories and Sizing Granite. As he remains a maiden over the larger obstacles, Crawford has the option of going for a beginners' chase, but with that sphere so competitive in Ireland this season, he feels he could be better stepping him up in grade on British soil. Crawford said: "He only ran coming up to a fortnight ago, but I think the track and the race would suit him really well. "I'd probably prefer to run in an ordinary beginners' chase with him, but at the same time, this race is worth good money and the beginners' chases in Ireland are just as hot at the moment anyway. "I wouldn't be afraid to run him in a better race as he has two good runs over fences under his belt now and the race at Navan he ran in (when second to Lots Of Memories) was a Graded race in all but name." Fine Rightly heads a small but select team entered on Merseyside for County Antrim-based Crawford. Man With Van is entered in the Grade Two novice chase as well as the feature Peter Marsh Chase, but also has options at Newcastle and Musselburgh coming up. Welsh Grand National third Glenquest also has a Peter Marsh engagement, while Strongpoint and Trucking Along are potential rivals to The New One in the StanJames.com Champion Hurdle Trial. "I haven't got Man With Van back to same sort of form he was at the tail-end of last season, but I'm hoping he's just needed a run or two to blow the cobwebs away," said Crawford. "I think he's a good horse on his day. "I think all the horses we've entered will relish the testing conditions, so I'll have a look at the entries and then make some plans. "It looks like the entries are quite small but there is plenty of quality in there."
