Creature Of Habit quickened away in fine style to spring a 33/1 shock on her debut at Dundalk.

The Eddie Lynam-trained filly was produced to lead passing the furlong pole by Chris Hayes and soon settled matters.

She went on to post a convincing two-and-a-half length win over Moyanna Castle.

The Ardad filly was a 13,000gns purchase as a yearling and is a half-sister to a winner in Terranoble. Their dam is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Sacred Angel.

Lynam said: "We liked her in sort of May/June and then she had a little bit of a setback, got a little bit babyish, so we left her alone.

"Mine winning first time out is highly unusual.

"He (Hayes) was very impressed. What sort of a race it was, I don't know, but she couldn't have been more impressive.

"She's strong and fingers crossed she makes up into a stronger three-year-old.

"I'll have a think (if she is put away now), probably, but I'll have a chat with the owner. We like her."
