Creighton has Curragh in mind for Filly

Piccadilly Filly is set to come to Ireland for her next start following her creditable effort in defeat in France on Sunday.

English-based trainer Edward Creighton has the Group Three Dubai Duty Free Sapphire Stakes at the Curragh on June 27th in mind for the three-year-old filly, who went so close to landing a Group Two sprint on her seasonal debut.

Quickly out of the stalls, she tried to make all the running, but was caught in the last few strides and went down by a short neck to Planet Five in the Prix du Gros-Chene at Chantilly

"It was very good performance. We knew she was up against it taking on the older horses, but she was in sparkling form at home so we thought she had a chance and she ran a blinder," said the Kent handler.

"She travelled back home straight away and where we are in Kent is not too far away. She's very well and ate up everything.

"We have her entered in the Group race at the Curragh on Irish Derby day.

"We are looking at that, depending on ground and see where we go from there, but that's the aim.

"We will be giving her plenty of time between her races. That's the right way with her."
