Gavin Cromwell’s horses have been in terrific form this month and the Balrath handler enjoyed a treble at Bellewstown’s National Hunt meeting last night.

Quick Suzy’s unplaced run in Sunday’s Prix Morny at Deauville was a rare disappointment in what has been a very successful month for the yard.

Cromwell reflected on his Queen Mary winner’s ninth place finish behind Perfect Power and outlined future plans for the daughter of Profitable.

“She came home fine. The ground rode dead, it was poached ground, and she just didn't quicken on it.

“She probably didn't see out the six on it either. It wasn't a terrible bad run, she's only beaten just over four lengths.

“She's fine, she's home and she's well.

He added: “She could potentially go to the Cheveley Park (September 25th) if we got proper fast ground but ultimately the plan is the Breeders’ Cup (Juvenile Turf Sprint at Del Mar on November 5th).”
