Trainer Donald McCain is now eyeing the the toteplacepot Contenders Hurdle and the Welsh Champion Hurdle, both on February 5th, for his unbeaten star after Haydock was abandoned on Saturday. He would meet Binocular in the former and another Nicky Henderson star, Oscar Whiskey, at Ffos Las. McCain said: "There's nothing for him now for a couple of weeks and then there's Sandown and Ffos Las to look at. "At the moment, they are the options. "There is the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton (February 19th) but that's even further away and we were thinking about sending Overturn for that any way. "There is the Morebattle at Kelso (February 17th) but that's still a while away and I would rather get it done now than wait. "I'm still a bit shell-shocked by it all to be honest, there was no inclination it would go this way. "I've spoken to the BHA but I don't know if there's anything they can do (about rearranging the Haydock race)."
