Curragh Going Now Yielding

There was heavy rain across Ireland last night and it has impacted on the going for this evening's meeting at the Curragh.

It is currently a dry and bright morning but cloud is due to build during the morning with more showers expected in the afternoon and early evening.

The first race at the Curragh is at 5.15pm with the big race, the Group 1 Keeneland Pheonix Stakes scheduled for 6.50pm.

Elsewhere there was 18mm at Kilbeggan where racing takes place on Saturday and the going is now described as Good to Yielding, Yielding in places.

Downpatrick on Sunday is now Good to Yielding following 25mm of rain while Tipperary also on Sunday is Yielding following 23mm.

More heavy rain is expected for all areas.
