Curragh ground eases ahead of Guineas

The ground has eased at the Curragh ahead of Irish Guineas weekend.

It is now soft on the straight course and soft, yielding to soft in places on the round track.

Racing will take place on the stand's side with the stalls in the centre for all sprints.

Heavy rain is forecast today with scattered showers tomorrow. It is set to be mainly dry on Saturday with the chance of some showers and unsettled on Sunday.

Following 8mm of rain in the last 24 hours, the ground at Tipperary is now yielding, good in places ahead of this afternoon's fixture. Rain is forecast today.

The ground at Wexford ahead of tomorrow's card is now heavy, soft in places. Up to 24mm of rain is expected today and tomorrow.

Downpatrick also race on Friday and following 10mm of rain overnight the ground is good to yielding, good in places.

Further rain is forecastt today and tonight (up to 20mm approx), turning to scattered showers with blustery conditions tomorrow morning.

Ballinrobe race on Monday and Tuesday and it's currently good to yielding at the Mayo track. 15-20mm of rain is predicted for today with a further 5-6mm over the weekend. Racing is on the outer loop.

Gowran Park is heavy ahead of next Wednesday's card. The forecast is for heavy rain today and tomorrow, easing off over the weekend.

The ground at Limerick (next Thursday) is good, good to firm in places. It's an unsettled forecast with some heavy showers forecast. Officials are monitoring the situation regarding watering
