Curragh on Czabo's radar Mick Channon may now look towards a tilt at the Irish 1,000 Guineas after Czabo made her seasonal return a winning one in the bet365 Esher Cup at Sandown. Although initially entered in last weekend's Fred Darling Stakes at Newbury before being taken out of the race following its switch to Chelmsford, the 11/1 shot took advantage of her handicap mark of 85 to clinch the mile prize. Moving on around two furlongs out with Midhmaar, the daughter of Sixties Icon eventually powered clear late on under reigning champion jockey Silvestre de Sousa before claiming victory by two and a quarter lengths. Channon said: "We wanted to run her in the Fred Darling, but I didn't think the surface at Chelmsford City would suit her. "I always thought a lot of her, but we left the English Guineas out as I thought she would have been a little bit later coming to herself. "We left her in the Irish Guineas because the ground is sometimes softer out there and she seems that she likes give in the ground. "I think we have got to think about it, but we have still got a long way to go. She has won off 85 but has won nicely."
