Kiyoshi is on course to make her seasonal reappearance in the Etihad Airways Irish 1,000 Guineas after pleasing connections in a routine workout on Monday morning.

The daughter of Dubawi was a stunning winner of the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot last June and was subsequently placed in the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh and the Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket.

Trainer Charlie Hills had been looking forward to seeing his filly return in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket earlier this month, but she was ruled out the day before the race after she was found to be lame .

Hills said: "The latest with Kiyoshi is she cantered this morning and we were very happy with her.

"At this stage we are still planning to run in the Irish Guineas (May 25th). We have been happy with her progress, but we will make a final decision nearer the time.

"Everyone will have to be 110 per cent happy with her if she is going to run at Curragh and there is obviously the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot (June 20th) if we feel we need more time."
