Curragh remains heavy

The ground remains heavy at the Curragh ahead of this afternoon's meeting at the Kildare venue.

The going was changed yesterday after the third race on the card having previously been soft to heavy, heavy in places.

Cork is now yielding to soft, good to yielding in the home straight.

The track has received 10mm of rain since declaration time. The ground at the Mallow venue had been described as good to yielding yesterday.

Downpatrick is yielding to soft ahead of tomorrow's meeting having previously been good.

The forecast is for a dry day today with rain overnight, clearing to showers tomorrow.
