Curtain set for Curragh return

Curtain Call is set to return to Ireland for the Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

Luca Cumani's charge has struck twice in Group company at the track in the past and was not disgraced in finishing fourth in the Sky Bet York Stakes on the Knavesmire last time.

His trainer has been pleased with his subsequent progress and is keeping his fingers crossed he gets his conditions this weekend.

"He goes to Ireland later in the week and everything is fine with him. His work has been good and he's a happy horse," said Cumani.

"He probably should have finished second at York last time but he is in good form and we just have to hope there is a bit more cut in the ground at the Curragh."
