Custom Cut is set to have an entry in the Investec Diomed Stakes at Epsom on Oaks day following his fine effort behind Duntle at Leopardstown.

The progressive four-year-old followed up his Group Three success at the Curragh by running the classy filly Duntle to three-quarters of a length in the Ameythst Stakes, despite giving the cosy winner 3lb.

His trainer George Kent is now looking at the next step for the Notnowcato gelding and the Group Three over an extended mile on Oaks day is a possible target.

"He's still improving and the handicapper has put him up another 3lb. We've found a few more pounds and that's great. He carried 9st 12lb, giving the winner 3lb the other day," said the County Waterford handler.

"I think he's come out of it better than he went into it. He's flying and we couldn't be happier with him. He loves his racing, but I don't to turn up unless he can be competitive.

"I shall give him an entry in the Diomed at Epsom and then after that I would love for him to carry 9st in a Group Two. Those races come up later on but they aren't any for him at the moment. "
