Dadoozdart back on form for Meade The Noel Meade-trained Dadoozdart bounced back to form when running out a 14/1 winner of the ten furlong rated race at Naas this afternoon. Colin Keane produced his mount with a strong run inside the final furlong to get on top and record a cosy two-length success. The Dawn Approach colt had made little impression on his comeback run here in late April when meeting traffic problems and Meade said:- “He got no run at all the last day and was completely locked in from flag fall and didn't get out. “He did come on from the run as well and I thought the distance would help him. He wants softer ground than that and he's quite a useful horse I'd say. “Colin said he picked up very well, he said he wasn't handling the ground early on at all. “You'd wonder sometimes if it's a mistake to win a race like that rather than wait for a bigger handicap but you have to win when you can too. “I know he gets a mile-and-a-quarter and I'd say he'll even get a mile-and-a-half. “Last year the whole plan was to come here for the Foran Equine Final. We gave him a run to get qualified in Roscommon but when he came back from there he was wrong behind. “I gave him acupuncture a couple of days before he ran in Naas and whether that's what done it or not I don't know but Fran (Berry) rode him and he said he knew going to the start because he had four legs in four different parishes. “He just fell apart and it took me a while to get him back right again.”
