Danedream on course for Arc defence Trainer Peter Schiergen confirmed Danedream on course to defend her crown in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe following a pleasing victory in Germany last weekend. The four-year-old filly secured the Group One Grosser Preis Von Baden for a second successive year following her narrow defeat of Nathaniel in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot. Although her margin of victory at Baden-Baden was just half a length, Schiergen was pleased with her efforts and how she has taken those exertions. "She is perfect after the race and we were happy with her performance," said Schiergen. "There was not much pace in the race, but she did it OK and Andrasch (Starke, jockey) did not not have to be too hard with the whip. "She will go to Longchamp next and we look forward to that. "We will wait until after the Arc before we make any other plans for her." Danedream is second favourite at 6-1 for next month's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, with St Leger and Triple Crown aspirant Camelot heading ante-post lists at 3-1.
