Danny Mullins is set to partner the John McConnell-trained Heads Up for the first time this Saturday in the AIS Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) at Cheltenham, and he’s hopeful the talented youngster can put in a big performance.

The six-year-old son of Blue Bresil was second to Bambino Fever in last year’s Champion Bumper and was last seen at Cheltenham in November, where he finished second behind No Drama This End.

That form has worked out extremely well, with No Drama This End going on to land the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle and now sitting as the current favourite for the Turners Novice Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival

Danny Mullins said. “I followed him around when he won in Listowel. I was fourth in that race and, you know, he put it to bed nicely, and the form with No Drama This End reads very well. So hopefully after the little bit of time off, he’ll go there and run a big race.”

Looking back on Thyestes day in Gowran Park, Mullins reflected on landing the Daly Darrell Accountants Beginners' Chase on board C'est Ta Chance

"It’s always lovely to get a winner on Thyestes Day, especially for me being a local as well. I know what that meeting means to everybody that’s near and around Gowran. So yeah, a nice little buzz to get that one home in front.”
