Leopardstown Racecourse have appointed Grade 1-winning jockey Danny Mullins as its official ambassador, a role that will see the rider involved in developing content aimed at engaging racing fans and driving interest in the sport.

With a distinguished career in both Flat and National Hunt racing, the 32-year-old has accumulated an impressive 582 wins including 28 prestigious Grade 1 victories.

Mullins’ first career win came on My Girl Sophie for Jim Bolger at Leopardstown back in 2008, and he has subsequently enjoyed tremendous success over jumps at the Dublin track.

As part of his new role, Mullins will work closely with Leopardstown to develop compelling content on its digital channels and on race days. His involvement will bring fans behind the scenes of racing, offering insights into the life of a jockey and people in the industry, fostering a deeper connection with the sport. Additionally, he will take part in inspiring the next generation of racing enthusiasts through education days.

Mullins, who will carry the Leopardstown brand on his kit both on and off the track, said: "Leopardstown holds a special place in my heart, and I’ve been lucky to ride a lot of big winners there. I’m thrilled to be joining the team as an ambassador and I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences with fans.”

Leopardstown CEO Tim Husbands said, “Leopardstown Racecourse is known for its rich history and world-class racing, and we are excited to have a talented jockey on board who embodies that. Danny is a great role model for young people and a brilliant personality for racing.”
