Horseracing Ireland has announced that three dates for Irish EBF Barrier Trials have been granted approval over the coming months.

The first date will take place on Monday, May 29 at Naas using the inside course over six and seven furlongs. Limerick will host the next session on Monday, July 3 with distances of six and a half furlongs and seven and a half furlongs.

Dundalk will take the final date on Tuesday, September 5 over five, six and seven furlongs.

This is the first time Limerick has been added to the roster of racecourses hosting Barrier Trials. The Barrier Trials have been confined to Dundalk for the last three years, but a set of Trials were run at Naas back in 2019.

As in previous years, the trials will be restricted to unraced two and three-year-olds and every runner must be named and returned in training with a stalls certificate.

The Irish EBF Barrier Trials and their updated terms and conditions will be advertised on the RAS website well in advance of each date.
