Dawn on Breeders' Cup team Await The Dawn is set to return from a spell on the sidelines in the Breeders' Cup Turf at Churchill Downs on Saturday week. Aidan O'Brien's charge suffered an acute bout of travel sickness when disappointing in the Juddmonte International at York in August and was left fighting for his life. However the Hardwicke Stakes hero has made a remarkable recovery and is set to join the trainer's raiding party for the American showpiece. He was originally pencilled in for the Classic but with So You Think heading there, is now going to step back up to a mile-and-a-half. "Await The Dawn was a horse we had big dreams for this year and everything was going according to plan before York," the trainer told Racing UK. "Going into the Juddmonte we thought we'd go to the Classic after that but he went very close to passing away after York and for ten days he was very unwell. It's very unusual for a horse to come back like he has. "He's in the two (Classic and Turf) but if eveyrthing goes well with So You Think and he's heading for the Classic and things went well with Await The Dawn we'd be happy to go for the Turf. It wouldn't be as extreme a test as the Classic would on dirt." Zoffany is another Ballydoyle star heading out to the States where he faces a daunting clash with Goldikova in the Mile. He is looking to bounce back from below-par runs in the Prix Maurice de Gheest and Shadwell Mile on his last two starts. "He ran a lovely race at Ascot and finished second to Frankel and ran a lovely race at Chantilly after that but then just lost his way a little. The last day in Keeneland we weren't happy with him and think perhaps it was first time Lasix as we couldn't put a finger on any other reason. "It was an out of character run but he seems to be well since and we're looking at the Mile with him," O'Brien added.
