de Bromhead Pleased With Stable Stars Special Tiara, winner of last season's Champion Chase at Cheltenham, could be stepped up in trip this term, according to trainer Henry de Bromhead. The 10-year-old finally got his head in front in the Grade One contest back in March after a couple of near-misses, but he was well beaten by Altior on his final outing at Sandown. Special Tiara has run up to two and a quarter miles under Rules and De Bromhead may consider racing over a bit further this season - a comment which also applies to Galway Plate winner Balko Des Flos. He said: "Special Tiara is great and looks amazing. He might start in the PWC in Gowran. We are thinking about stepping him up in trip, and just see if it can open up more options. "Balko Des Flos could go for that as well, We are very fortunate with the horses that we have." Petit Mouchoir won two Grade Ones over hurdles last term for De Bromhead, but the six-year-old is now likely to try to make his mark over fences. De Bromhead added: "This time last year we were thinking of going over fences with Petit Mouchoir, and thankfully we changed to go hurdling. "I'd imagine he will go over fences this season. He looks really well, in fact they have all come back looking great."
